Brain dumping is the process of unloading all the thoughts and ideas swirling around in your mind onto paper or a digital platform. It's a powerful technique that can help you declutter and organize your thoughts, relieve stress, and enhance your productivity.
In today's fast-paced and information-driven society, our brains tend to become overwhelmed with a constant influx of thoughts, tasks, and distractions. This can make it difficult to stay focused, prioritize effectively, and make clear decisions.
To start a brain dump, find a quiet and comfortable space where you can freely express your thoughts without any interruptions. Grab a pen and paper, or open a blank document on your computer. Take a few deep breaths to relax your mind and set an intention to release everything onto the page.
Then, without any judgment, allow your thoughts to flow. Write down everything that comes to mind – ideas, tasks, worries, goals, random musings – without worrying about organizing or structuring them. Let your mind wander and explore different tangents.
The beauty of brain dumping is that there are no rules or restrictions. You can choose to write in bullet points, mind maps, or even draw diagrams if that helps you better visualize your thoughts. The goal is to empty your mind of its clutter and create a clear mental space.
Once you have finished your brain dump, take a step back and review what you've written. This process can be highly revealing and enlightening. It allows you to see the big picture, identify patterns, and gain insights that may have been buried beneath the chaos of your thoughts.
Now that you have all your thoughts on paper, it's time to organize and prioritize. You can categorize your ideas, create action plans, set goals, or identify tasks that need immediate attention. By doing so, you create a roadmap for yourself, making it easier to tackle your priorities and stay focused on what truly matters.
Brain dumping is not a one-time exercise; it's a habit that you can incorporate into your daily or weekly routine. Regular brain dumps will help prevent mental overload, increase your productivity, and foster a sense of clarity and calmness in your mind.
Brain dumping is a powerful tool for decluttering your mind and enhancing your productivity. By putting your thoughts onto paper, you free up mental space and gain greater clarity and focus. So, give it a try and experience the benefits of this simple yet effective technique.

I know I am not alone in this battle against procrastination. It seems like every time you get the ball rolling, someone, or something (enter social media) gets your attention, and your to-do list goes out the window. I've been trying to find ways that work for me, so here are three hacks I use when dealing with procrastination that are tried and true game changers.
1. Create a detailed list of to-dos. These are your projects essentially. Now break them down into smaller steps. Highlight your top 5, those are your tasks for the day.
2. Have a start and end time as well as breaks, to your workday and stick to it. This ensures you have time for things you love, your family, and any other priorities.
3. Only schedule work for 4 days of the week allowing the 5th day to be for catch up. Things rarely go as planned and this way you succeed far greater!
4. Use a project management tool to keep your projects organized with the steps needed to complete them. Then check them off!
5. Put your phone on silent during your workday only looking at it on breaks to see what you missed. This allows you to focus on the tasks at hand with a clearer mind.
Staying organized and saving time are essential for everyone, but especially for you. To allow any of these to work above, you have to ensure you have your priorities set for the week. So, what is extremely important that is a non-negotiable? That is a priority.
It’s not quite ready yet because I want to ensure it’s amazing for you. So, comment below if you’d like to have my project management template for your biz and your life to get you off to the right start! Don’t wait, you’ll be notified when it’s ready!
We are all busy no matter what our job entails.
Time management is something everyone struggles with at some point in their life. Personally, I feel when you are an entrepreneur that has taken a career path where you can set your own schedule, you are more apt to be harder on yourself. Think about it, are you harder on yourself?
When you get your time management down, you are following a schedule, you know exactly what you need to have done and by when, etc. That is when real change and success starts to happen.
Here is my 3-step process to put my mind at ease and get things done! I encourage you to try out. Let me know what you think in the comments.
1. Write a to-do list every Friday for the next week – Everything that needs done in your business for the next week. EVERYTHING!
2. Prioritize and segment every task into time slots. We all have little time slots, now give each task an estimated time to complete and prioritize each list.
3. During the week as you have 10 minutes to do some work, do your top task from your 10-minute slot and so on. Dopamine hit here we come.
Now your mind can relax and enjoy the weekend with family. When next week gets here, you’re ready to run at it! You have a plan – wrote out, segmented into time slots, and prioritized!
I cannot take credit for this whole 3-step process, my gal Becky suggested part of this in group coaching and I added to it! The value in group coaching is amazing! Group coaching can help you with your time management sooo much.
