When I started this virtual assistant (VA) biz, it was on a whim. I had held a manager position where I did a lot of work that a VA would do, but I had given up on that dream when no one would hire me after that company closed. I had given up on that dream until last year when God was whispering, JUMP out of your Comfort Zone NOW! So, I listened and scaled to an agency and brought my husband home in 3 months!!! Yes, it can be done!

Here are my 3 ways to tell if starting a VA biz is right for you:
1) You love to work on a computer and tech doesn’t give you huge challenges. This doesn’t mean you have to be a tech guru, but you know your way around a computer and can learn new things with ease.

2) You can work on your own, sometimes creating your own deadlines. You more than likely have some green in you too!

3) Organization is huge! You must be a naturally organized person. You must want to make things as easy as possible for your clients.

When you are a VA, your clients are trusting part of their business to you! You have to create a trust factor with your clients with their wellbeing in mind. To a point, you are personally investing in your clients’ successes! When they succeed, you succeed, when you overdeliver, they will refer you to their friends when they need to outsource.

If there was one thing I had to say to someone really thinking about becoming a VA, it would be this:
The services you offer, must light you up! That would mean, you find enjoyment in these tasks and you aren’t forcing yourself to complete them.

At the end of the day, we all want to enjoy our jobs first, and when we do that and exceed our clients’ expectations, you will have a successful business!
